Full Time Sales/Customer Service (Albertville and Edina)


Job purpose

The Stone Sales Specialist is an integral member of the team, responsible for providing showroom sales for retail customers and stone selection process assistance for non-retail. The primary job responsibility is to sell the maximum amount possible at the highest profit margin.

 

The ideal candidate must be flexible and willing to work between our Albertville and Edina showrooms. 

 

Hours can fluctuate from week to week. 

Approximate Hours:

Mondays 9-5pm

Wednesdays 10-7pm

Thursdays 10-7pm

Fridays 9-5pm

Saturdays 9-4pm

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide showroom sales for non-retail and retail customers

Assist clients with the stone selection process

Develop sales proposals in response to customer inquiries

Contact potential customers providing proposals to potential jobs

Close Sales

Provide any customer service as needed

Serve as backup answering phones as needed

Assist at home shows after regularly scheduled hours

 

Additional Responsibilities:

Represent Granite-Tops and Stone Countertop Outlet as a safe, professional, on-time, Quality Company.

Work safely and responsibly, adhering to all safety policies, procedures and guidelines

Adhere to all company policies and codes of the employee handbook

All other duties assigned

 

Qualifications

 

Required:

Team Driven – support team members in the sales processes to ensure customer expectations are exceeded

Customer Communication - the ability to communicate with customers via phone, email and in –person to provide strong customer service and close sales.

Team Member Communication - effectively and professionally communicate goals, successes and failures to facility and sales team members

Math – the skills of calculating project prices and stone invoices for accuracy and completeness

Computer – proficiency in computer applications to assist in executing the business processes

Organization – to keep track of multiple proposals, projects and files in order to maintain high customer service and team leadership levels

Assist and support other team members to ensure all tasks are completed

HS Diploma or equivalent

 

 

Preferred:

Previous sales, customer service and/or stone industry experience

 

Performance Measures

Maintain sales and meet sales growth goals

Accuracy of proposals and project information (square footage calculations, cut-outs, upgrades, etc…)

Customer Satisfaction/Complaints

Daily tasks completed on time

Attendance must be within the guidelines of Granite Tops-Stone Countertop Outlet

 

Working conditions

This position will spend time in both an indoor office and warehouse environment.

 

Physical requirements

Frequent bending, reaching, standing, sitting, walking

Occasional light lifting
